Description

APPOINTMENT

The immobilization of low and medium activity levels of radioactive waste is effective. They are formed as a result of the nuclear power plants (NPP) operation.

ESSENCE OF THE DEVELOPMENT

The essence of the development involves the use radioactive wastes cementation technology in the alkaline cement matrix. The use of alkaline cements can increase the content of radioactive waste to 20% by weight while maintaining high immobilizing properties. The material is non - combustible, resistant to biological corrosion, not capable of self - ignition etc.

STATE OF INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY PROTECTION

Received 2 patents of Ukraine

MAIN ADVANTAGES OF THE DEVELOPMENT

The materials have no analogues in the world in terms of filling the final product with radioactive waste and relevant performance characteristics

MARKET DEMAND

The development is relevant for all nuclear power plants in Ukraine and abroad. The relevance and efficiency of the development are confirmed by contacts for performance of works on National Atomic Energy Generating Company (NAEC) “Energoatom” and foreign customers

THE DEVELOPMENT READINESS STATUS

The experimental samples are made. The technological schemes of the production are fulfilled. The laboratory and full - scale tests are carried out
