The immobilization of low and medium activity levels of radioactive waste is effective. They are formed as a result of the nuclear power plants (NPP) operation.
ESSENCE OF THE DEVELOPMENT
The essence of the development involves the use radioactive wastes cementation technology in the alkaline cement matrix. The use of alkaline cements can increase the content of radioactive waste to 20% by weight while maintaining high immobilizing properties. The material is non - combustible, resistant to biological corrosion, not capable of self - ignition etc.
