ESSENCE OF THE DEVELOPMENT
The basis of the developed colorimetric method for determining the microbiological phase is the fact that as a result of the microorganisms life oil destructors in fuels accumulate compounds containing primary and secondary amino groups, amino acids, amines, enzymes etc. Cells of the microorganisms are composed of protein parts, which include the above compounds. As an indicator for amino groups and amino acids, ninhydrin was chosen. During the interaction of nynhydrin with compounds containing amino groups, the fuel becomes blue - purple colour. The intensity of the colour indicates the scale of the biorage of the fuel

In comparison with the known methods of microbiological damage of fuels, the developed colorimetric method allows to identify quickly the presence or absence of the microbiological phase
