Modernization of the pantograph mechanism of the cultivator MAXIM PP029
Improving the reliability and durability of the agricultural machines and mechanisms is inextricably linked with the improvement of existing ones. Also it is connected with the development of new wearproof details. First of all this applies for friction knots, tillage machines. They operate in extremely difficult conditions of high loads and sliding speed, the presence of abrasive and moisture. For instance, the trailing cultivator “MAXIM” is designed for pre - sowing tillage. It is exploited in conditions of high dustiness. Dust settles on the bearing units. It causes the abrasive wear of the friction pair. Also it significantly reduces the exploitation of bronze bearings.
The bearing is made from a polymeric composite of the pantograph mechanism of the steam cultivator. It is applied at the economic enterprises of the country. One of the main consumers – customers is JSC ( Joint Stock Company) «OAP (Orikhivskyi Agricultural Plant) «Ahrotekh»» .

Main advantages of the development
The developed sliding bearings are made of carbon fiber on the basis of polyamide UPA 6 - 40. They were installed in the pantograph mechanism of the cultivator “MAXIM”. They provide the amelioration of the working resource of the friction knots by 3 - 4 times compared to the serial details of bronze grade BrAZH 9 - 4.
The development readiness status
In 2014 for a complete set of friction cultivator "Maxim" was made 6000 parts. During 3 years of operation there was no failures and failure of parts made from UPA 6 - 40. This demonstrates the relevance, appropriateness and potential for development.
